Kemal Gekic –Liszt Transcendental Etudes
Croatian pianist Kemal Gekic is indeed a rare talent in the classical piano world of today. His 1997 JVC recording of the Transcendental Etudes continues to garner critical acclaim, and for very good reasons: not only does Gekic posses a daunting technique, but more important he imbues every piece he plays with intelligence, complete poetic vision and artistic imagination, creating some of the most thrilling interpretations of classical repertoire heard in the very long time. On Sunday evening, March 15, 2009 Kemal will once again bring the music alive for his audience in a performance of:
