Announcing a Spectacular 2023-2024 Season

A Message from our Artistic Director, Giselle Brodsky

September 1, 2023

Dear Friends and Supporters:

We are thrilled to announce with excitement our forthcoming 2023-2024 season in celebration of our 25th Anniversary - a milestone in our ongoing journey to discover and support exceptionally gifted pianists with unique voices as interpreters.   We take pride in witnessing their blossoming careers as audiences and music critics acclaim their achievements.

In this quarter-century, MIPF has provided our young artists with a ‘home,’ a unique space where they can unleash their creativity. Here their imaginations are set free to realize their dreams as performers.

Inspired by the triumphant beginning of our “Concerto Evening” two seasons ago, the 2023-2024 season will continue the new tradition with a celebration: three beloved concertos featuring marvelous  pianists Ariel Lanyi from Israel, Reed Tetzloff from the US, and Dmitry Ablogin from Russia. The Festival  Orchestra will again be conducted by the esteemed Venezuela-born Music Director and Principal  Conductor of the Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra, Hobart Earle.

This performance will be followed by 12 recitals: six world-class pianists at the Aventura Arts and Cultural Center, and six extraordinary artists making their debut at the Wolfsonian Museum in Miami Beach. Our international talent is guaranteed to captivate attending classical music lovers. Nothing can substitute for the experience of being there when one marvel appears after another.

Another important project, The MIPF Academy, continues to impact the lives of emerging pianists with programs in Miami Beach and in Italy, attracting each time more participants who search for inspiration and are eager to grow.  The second edition of the summer Festival and Academy in the magical setting of Villa Medici Giulini in Briosco in Italy exceeded expectations.  Its unique environment and a vibrant desire to share insights from our artists resonated with the participants. There are few places in the world devoid of competition and selfishness and where only music reigns.  The successful launch of the Winter 2023 MIPFA in Miami Beach was thanks to the initiative and generous sponsorship of Dr. Vilma Biaggi (Board Member in our organization) and the city of Miami Beach. The next ‘edition’ will take place in January of 2024 in the beautiful Cadet Hotel in Miami Beach.   We are grateful to Dr. Vilma Biaggi for making this dream a reality and for inspiring so many young pianists.

As we enter the digital age, a significant development in our history is the creation of a state-of-the-art Virtual Platform. It will include the much-awaited Virtual Concert Hall, where performances of our great artists will not only be available to our community but also worldwide, giving our artists well-deserved exposure and enhancing and amplifying our outreach.

We are grateful to our donors and cultural organizations, in particular, the Florida Department of State Division of Arts and Culture, the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, and the City of Miami Beach. They allow us to transform our ideas into meaningful reality.

Please mark your calendars and join us; your support and feedback are invaluable to all of us.

As we enter this new season, I feel excited and optimistic. I am convinced that the music brought by our magnificent artists will be deeply inspiring to all of us.

With music in our hearts,

Giselle
