Born in Bielsko-Biała, Poland, in 2004, Mateusz Dubiel is regarded as one of the most promising young Polish pianists of his generation. He first studied with Anna Skarbowska at the Stanisław Moniuszko Secondary Music School in Bielsko-Biała and is currently pursuing his studies at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków under the guidance of Professor Mirosław Herbowski.

Dubiel came to international prominence after winning First Prize at the 53rd National Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, earning direct admission to the 19th International Chopin Piano Competition. He is also the winner of the 51st National Chopin Competition (2022) and has received top prizes at the Jeune Chopin International Piano Competition in Lugano, the International Baltic Piano Competition in Gdańsk, and the Arthur Rubinstein in Memoriam Competition in Bydgoszcz, among others.

A highly sought-after recitalist, Dubiel has performed at many of Poland's leading venues, including the Royal Castle in Warsaw, Żelazowa Wola, the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music in Lusławice, Cavatina Hall, and the Pomeranian Philharmonic in Bydgoszcz. His international appearances have taken him to Japan, the United States, France, Germany, Lithuania, Austria, Hungary, and Spain (Mallorca), where his performances have been praised for their poetic sensitivity, stylistic refinement, and exceptional command of the Romantic repertoire.

Dubiel has participated in masterclasses with some of the world's most distinguished pianists and pedagogues, including Michel Béroff, Angela Hewitt, Piotr Paleczny, Andrzej Jasiński, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, Arie Vardi, and Kevin Kenner. A recipient of numerous scholarships and honors—including the Young Poland Scholarship, awards from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, and the IKAR Award of the City of Bielsko-Biała—he continues to establish himself as one of the leading emerging artists on the international concert stage.
